West Pass Road. The site location is shown in Figure 4.1. Table 4.1 lists the samples collected at the site. SVI020 This site is located 100 m south of the intersection of Road 4 and Road C, within ridge set G. The site was visited on January 10, 2006 and a trench was excavated on the east side of Road 4. Three push cores for OSL dating and three grab samples for granulometric analysis were collected from the trench face. The site location is shown in Figure 4.1. Table 4.1 lists the samples collected at the site. Figure 4.15 shows the site location. SVI021 This site is located 50 m north of the intersection of Road 4 and Road F, within ridge set F. The site is on the east side of Road 4. A trench was excavated on January 10, 2006 and two push cores and 2 grab samples were collected for analysis. The site location is shown in Figure 4.1. Table 4.1 lists the samples collected at the site. SVI022 This site is located on Road 4, 50 m south Road D on the east side of the road, within ridge set G. The trench is shown in Figure 4.16. SVI023 This site is located on the northwest corner of the intersection of Road 4 and Road B, within ridge set G. SVI024 This site is located on Road A, 300 m west of Charlie Road, on the North side of the road, within the oldest part of ridge set J. SVI025 This site is located within ridge set I, on Rattlesnake Road, just south of Oyster Pond. A trench was excavated on January 11, 2006 and 2 push cores and 2 grab samples were collected. The site location is shown in Figure 4.1. Table 4.1 lists the samples collected at the site. SVI026 This site is located on Rattlesnake Road, just north of Oyster Pond, within ridge set I. The site was visited on January 11, 2006. A trench was excavated and one push core and one grain size sample was collected. The site location is shown in Figure 4.1. Table 4.1 lists the samples collected at the site. SVI027 This site is located on West Pass Road, 300 m south of the cabin on the east side of the road. The site was within ridge set L. A trench was excavated at this site and 2 push cores and 2 grab samples were collected for analysis. The site location is shown in Figure 4.1. Table 4.1 lists the samples collected at the site. The trench and sample locations are shown in Figure 4.19. SVI028 This site is the second ridge south of Road A, on Road 2. The site is located approximately 300 m south of Road A, within ridge set G. The site was visited on January 12, 2006 and a trench was excavated on the west side of the road. Two push cores and two grab samples were collected from the trench. The site location is shown in Figure 4.1. Table 4.1 lists the samples collected at the site. The location of these samples is shown in Figure 4.20. SVI029 This site is located on Road 3, approximately 300 m south of Road G, in the low part of ridge set D. A trench was excavated on January 12, 2006 and one push core was collected for OSL dating. The site location is shown in Figure 4.1. Table 4.1 lists the samples collected at the site. In addition to the vibracores collected during this investigation, Stapor collected a Dutch gouge auger in 1979 at Tahiti Beach in the vicinity of Mallard Slough (the location of Mallard Slough is shown in Figure 2.1). Figure 4.21 is a log of the auger core. In addition to the auger sample, two boreholes were drilled by Schnable (1966) from the island’s northern shore (Figure 4.22). 62
