I/O Program Visit to Vietnam and Hong Kong May 2007
Twenty five students and faculty in the I/O Psychology Program
traveled to Vietnam and Hong Kong, May 14 through
28, 2007. Behind China, Vietnam has the fastest growing
economy in Asia.
Vietnam is reaching
out to the West to
establish economic,
educational, and
tourism opportunities.
We visited a
variety of public and
private organizations
and toured many
historic sites including
Ho Chi Minh
City (Saigon), Can
Tho, My Tho, Hoi An.
Nha Trang, Hue, and
Hong Kong. Major
stops included Drake
Beam, US Consulate,
Imperial City, War Museums,
Mekong River.
Perfume River, Cu Chi
Tunnels, Thien Mu
Royal Pagoda, Vinh
Trang Pagoda, Vin
Pearl, China Beach, and
Kenexa-Hong Kong.
We were also able to
spend an afternoon
with Mahlia Nguyen
Match’s family in Hue.

Do you ever feel like hanging out with other I/O Psychology nerds? Do you ever wonder which MSU I/O alumni are
around the Twin Cities? Are you looking for work? Are you looking to hire? Do you have questions about your career?
Do you feel like having some drinks and appetizers? If you answered yes to any of these questions you should
come out to the monthly I/O Networking group that meets in the Twin Cities. The mission of this group is to help develop
the MSU I/O Network within the Twin Cities. Currently there are about 20 individuals connected with this group,
with any number of them showing up each month. The meetings provide a great opportunity to learn more about what
other people are doing, develop business relationships with colleagues, and to just plain have fun. We normally meet on
the first Wednesday of the month at about 5:30. Locations sometimes vary, so please contact either Andy Dybvig
