I/O Update
Over the last few years, the Personnel Board of Jefferson County Alabama has utilized the talent of
MSU's I/O Psychology graduate students. Every semester they invite students from I/O graduate students
to participate as assessors in their assessment centers. Jefferson County pays for the students'
flights, hotel accommodations, meals, and other related expenses of the trip. The students
volunteer their time, often missing classes, in order to take advantage of this learning opportunity.
Thanks to Tamela Parrish, Dr. Martinique (Marty) Alber and Jefferson County for providing this
unique learning opportunity. You can read more about the program by going to http://
