five-day intensive courses to fulltime<br />

th<strong>at</strong> suits your situ<strong>at</strong>ion.<br />

Postgradu<strong>at</strong>e Certific<strong>at</strong>e<br />

in Executive Management<br />

(PGCertEM)<br />

This part-time executive educ<strong>at</strong>ion programme<br />

suits middle and senior managers who have<br />

specific skills but would like to broaden their<br />

knowledge and advance up the ladder. <strong>Otago</strong><br />

<strong>of</strong>fers a suite <strong>of</strong> courses – you must complete<br />

four, each one run as part <strong>of</strong> a week-long<br />

residential programme.<br />

Postgradu<strong>at</strong>e Diploma in<br />

Executive Management<br />

(PGDipEM)<br />

This builds on the PGCertEM and allows you<br />

to select the areas you want to develop. There<br />

are six papers - four PGCertEM courses plus<br />

two additional executive educ<strong>at</strong>ion courses –<br />

and a business management project.<br />

<strong>Otago</strong> MBA<br />

<strong>Otago</strong>’s Master <strong>of</strong> <strong>Business</strong> Administr<strong>at</strong>ion<br />

(<strong>Otago</strong> MBA) is an intern<strong>at</strong>ionally recognised,<br />

general management degree. Gradu<strong>at</strong>es with<br />

three or more years work experience do an<br />

MBA to take their career to the next level and<br />

maximise their earning potential. Our MBA<br />

is characterised by its small classes <strong>of</strong> high<br />

achievers who come from all over the world to<br />

undertake MBA study <strong>at</strong> <strong>Otago</strong>.<br />

The <strong>Otago</strong> MBA consists <strong>of</strong> two phases. Phase<br />

One involves intensive study in all areas <strong>of</strong><br />

business management on campus for nine<br />

months. This includes a business mentor<br />

for every student, a career development<br />

programme, leadership development and<br />

culmin<strong>at</strong>es with a real group consultancy<br />

project, called the Live Case Study. In Phase<br />

Two, students receive the option <strong>of</strong> an<br />

Intern<strong>at</strong>ional Exchange or specialis<strong>at</strong>ion in a<br />

particular area <strong>of</strong> management th<strong>at</strong> interests<br />

them. The final capstone <strong>of</strong> the <strong>Otago</strong> MBA is<br />

a major in-company consultancy project which<br />

can be undertaken anywhere in the world.<br />
