What differentiates great fitness professionals from the
rest? Is it their ability to program beyond “exercise science”
and include the psychological and emotional
to deliver powerful, positive, memorable
exercise programming and successful change. Join
this workshop and learn how to engage individuals by
This session introduces the trainer to how to successfully
teach a basic Barre format without the use
or necessity of a ballet bar. Many clubs are losing
members to Barre studios. This session includes how
to run a successful Barre program, and keep your
members! Each trainer will walk away understanding
that this program is based on applied functional
exercises that create core strength, improve flexibility
will understand why we do not require a student to
tuck tighten and externally rotate the feet as it is causing
many injuries to the low back in many students
Weight loss is identified as a leading reason why individuals aged 25 – 55 join health clubs. Yet, for those
striving to lose weight, diet and exercise are viewed as traditional practices, but both generally involve
less-than-enjoyable experiences. Although fitness professionals seek simple, time-efficient and accurate
energy-balance solutions (i.e., calories in versus calories out), emerging research and trends point beyond
individual factors to include environmental influencers. This course provides the knowledge and applicable
skills on macronutrient structure and function to drive healthier dietary choices; quantitative and simpler
qualitative strategies for effective weight loss; and easy-start environmental control strategies to deliver
DO WE REALLY NEED CARDIO?
with Mike Bracko, EdD, FACSM
Trainers and our clients are obsessed with “Cardio,
Cardio, Cardio.” Whether it’s traditional cardiovascular
Bracko take you down a path of enlightenment to
discover the benefits of non-traditional “cardio” training
and the benefits of alternative forms of exercise.
