The medicine used is an infusion of the bruised root of u'oat^as-
Gr'ski, spurge (EupJwrhia hypericijolia L. and of another variety

flowering spurge).
This is given in largo quantities [4-5 liters] to be dnmk by the
patient, who remains fasting each day until about sundown. At
frequent intervals the medicine man rubs the abdomen of tlie patient,
