<strong>Lutyens</strong>; 1922-1973. Arranged alphabetically by correspondent. The writers include<br />
Ernest Ansermet, Sir Adrian Boult, Edward J. Dent (partly to Edwin Evans), John Ireland<br />
(partly to Edward Clark), Isabel Lambert (including drawings by her), Priaulx Rainier,<br />
Dame Ethel Smyth, Sir Henry Wood and Kenneth A. Wright. All names are indexed in<br />
this catalogue. Many writers refer to the death of Edward Clark, <strong>Lutyens</strong>'s husband, in<br />
1962. Letters written to Clark are Add. 52256, 52257; letters from Brian Elias to <strong>Lutyens</strong><br />
are Add. 71114. <strong>Lutyens</strong>'s music manuscripts are Add. 64435-64795. Sotheby's sale 29<br />

Volanakis; this score presented ‘To Norman [Del Mar] with thanks, New York 1969’<br />
(f. 1). The ink full score and pencil piano reduction are Add. 64640, and a dyeline piano<br />
reduction and two dyeline full scores, one of them made from this score, are Add. 64641.<br />
