1. We reserve the right to cancel any class/program which fails to meet the required
minimum participation. Full refunds will be issued in such instances.
2. Refunds will be issued only if request is made by the weekday prior to the beginning
of the class/program (unless otherwise stated). No refunds will be given after class/
program begins unless an injury prohibits participation in the program. A doctor’s note is
required for an injury refund and refund is subject to pro-rating.
3. A $2 administrative refund fee will be charged. All refund claims are subject to the
State Board of Accounts claim procedure and require a minimum of 2-3 weeks to process.

We wish to avoid fecal accidents
which can cause the pool(s) to

Weather Guidelines: The aquatic center
will not open if it is raining. The center may
also close early if the weather is cool and
attendance is low. In the case of closure due
to rain or lightning, the aquatic center may
reopen if the weather clears.

Private Pool Parties
Rent Donner Aquatic Center for your
special function. Donner Aquatic Center
is a great place for a church gathering,
company outing, organization fundraiser,
birthday party, etc. Lots to keep everyone entertained: leisure
pool for the youngest; 133’ long, 22’ high waterslide; 1 meter
diving boards, water basketball and water volleyball, etc. Food
service and activity planning is available. Donner Aquatic Center
can be rented for parties Monday - Friday, 8-10:30pm and
Saturday & Sunday, 7-10:30pm. Make reservations by calling
376-2680. Hurry, dates fill quickly!
Masters Swim/Deep Water Walking (Outdoor)
Deep Water Walking for adults will be offered in the diving
well from 12:00-1pm daily (no evening hours). This is a self
directed program and participants must provide their own
floatation devices.
Masters Swimming is great for fitness and stress
relief. Take advantage of lap swimming for adults
(18 & over). One-half of the pool is available during swim
lessons. Both programs run from May 24-Aug. 19. No
Masters Swimming 6/1-3 or 8/2-5)

LIFEGUARDS IN ACTION!
Vigilance Awareness Training & Emergency Action Plan
As a part of our ongoing training, we will randomly place a
mannequin “Timmy” in the pool to keep our guards Rescue
Ready!
Occasionally during the 4:00pm break, you will also get to
see our guards in action as we will simulate an emergency
situation that will require the lifeguard team to respond.
Jr. Lifeguard Camp (ages 11-14)
Learn what it takes to be a lifeguard and get an inside track
on a job at Donner Aquatic Center. A two-week, Mon.-Thurs.
camp held at DAC. Each camper receives a fanny pack, visor,
and whistle. Limit: 8 participants

Winter Lifeguarding Classes:
Donner Aquatic Center - 376-2683
American Red Cross Lifeguard Training Course
This course is for people planning to be a lifeguard at a swimming
pool or non-surf beach. It will include CPR for the professional
rescuer, first aid training & waterfront training. Must be 15
years old by the end of the class. All classes held at FFY pool.

American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer
This course is a recertification course for those previously
certified in CPR for the Professional Rescuer. Perfect for
lifeguards who need to renew their CPR certification.

American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor Course (WSI)
Learn to teach the the American Red Cross Learn to Swim
Program. Lifetime certification provided that you teach a class
at least every other year. Must be 16 years old by the end of

RECREATION DAY CAMPS
Recreational Day Camps - Kids, come in to play & join us for another fun-filled summer of day camps. Children must be 3 years old by
May 1, 2012 for the 3-4 year old camps and MUST be toilet trained. Children arriving to camp wearing diapers will not be permitted
to stay. All day camp participants will receive an informational letter one week in advance of the camp. If you register your child for a
second camp, receive $2 off the second camp or $2 off camp registration for a second child!

Disney Days (ages 3-7)
Campers will enter the magical world of Disney and a land of adventures! We’ll
visit Mickey’s Clubhouse, discover “A Bug’s Life” in nature, party with the
princesses and pirates and solve a mystery with the “Great Mouse Detective”.
Wet N Wild Water Week (ages 3-7)
Water, water everywhere! We’ll swim, play water games, do some water
crafts, paint with water colors, discover creatures that live in the water
and learn how water changes things with “Drippy”, a special visitor from
kidscommons.
Gymnastics (ages 5-15) & Tumbling Camps (ages 8-15)
Beginning to advanced skills on bars, beam, vault, floor and trampoline will be
covered in our NEW gymnastics camps. Beginning to advanced skills on floor
and trampoline will be covered in the tumbling camp. A snack will be served at
both camps.
Cheer Camps (ages 3-12)
Cheer for our cheer camps! Participants will learn new skills, chants, motions
and basic tumbling. A short “performance” for the 9-12 year old campers
will be held on Friday of their camp week. Camp will be taught by local high
school cheerleaders.
Curious Kids (ages 3-7)
Each day will bring new adventures for our “curious kids”! We’ll continue
our space adventures with a field trip to the planetarium at Columbus East
High School, have some “Fiesta Fun” with a special guest, explore magic with
Travis Easterling, have some pioneer and wild west fun and find out what’s in
our own imagination during “Creative Camper Day”.
Munchkins in Motion (ages 3-7)
Jump, wiggle, giggle & roll during this “shorter” version of
“Kids in Motion”. The Munchkins will be on the move with games, swimming,
creative movement, obstacle courses and more. Highlight of the week will
be our own “go for the gold” Olympic Day and a field trip to the Columbus
Gymnastics Center.
P*L*A*Y ON! (ages 5-7) - Back by popular demand!
Campers will play theater games, use their imaginations and develop their
performance skills. On Friday evening, they will perform with the Project
A*C*T production of “Aladdin” or “Cinderella”. Additional camp time will be
added on Friday afternoon/evening for final rehearsal and performance. Camp
conducted by CNHS Theater and Choral students. Please specify shirt size
when registering. Registration deadline: May 25.
Project A*C*T (ages 8-12) - Back by popular demand!
An intro to theater experience for kids who are looking to perform. Campers
will audition on Monday morning and on Friday will perform “Aladdin” or
“Cinderella”. Campers will experience some of the technical aspects of the
show and work on improvisation. Camp conducted by CNHS Theater and
Choral students. Please specify shirt size when registering. Registration
deadline: May 25.
Camp Super Kids (ages 8-12) Campers will spend their days at
Ceraland & participate in miniature golf, swimming, basketball, golf driving
range & paddle boats. A highlight will be the magic workshop with magician
Travis Easterling. On Thursday evening (weather permitting), we’ll stay late
and have dinner!
Kids In Motion (ages 8-12)
Kids will participate in heart healthy activities such as swimming, bowling,
roller skating, hiking, batting cages and ice skating. We’ll “go for the gold” on
Olympic Day! Healthy snacks will be served. Highlights ofthe week will be a
trip to the National Institute for Fitness & Sports in Indianapolis and special
guest Kate Connor from Zen Fitness.
American Girl Doll FUN! (ages 5-10)-Back by popular demand!
Bring your favorite American Girl dolls to life through games, acting, crafts
& more. This year, we will focus on the 2012 “Girl of the Year” McKenna and
visit the Columbus Gymnastics Center for our own gymnastics experience,
explore the world of animals with Nicki, the 2007 Girl of the Year and go back
in time with Kaya and her Native American adventures.
Art Attack! (ages 8-12) Explore art in a new way! We’ll have a
“science as art” day, dive into the world of duct tape and make a variety of
crazy and fun projects. We’ll discover more ways to make art out of every
day products and make glass stone magnets and metallic foil art!

allowed through the 2nd week of the session as long as
openings remain in the class. This policy is an effort to
provide quality classes for you. All classes must have a
minimum of 3 children registered by the weekday prior
to the first class.
INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY:
Mon-Fri: When BCSC has a 2 hour delay or cancels classes
there will be no morning classes or 9 am open gym sessions.
A decision about afternoon & evening classes/ open gyms
will be made by 12N. If BCSC has an early dismissal then
afternoon & evening classes/open gyms will be cancelled.
Sat: A decision will be made by 8:00am for classes/open

Fun Walkers (Walkers-2 yrs.) 30 min.
Fun Tots 2 (2 yrs.) 30 min. Creative play through the sport of
gymnastics with focus on the development of a toddler’s fine & gross
motor skills using such items as balls, hoops, music, barrels & obstacle
courses. Parent participation/supervision required.
Fun Tots 3-4 (3-4 yrs.) 45 min. Continuation of the development of
fine & gross motor skills such as balance, strength, coordination & body
awareness. Intro to basic gymnastics skills such as rolls, balance beam,
bars & trampoline thru the use of obstacle courses, parachute play,
music and stations.
Adv. Fun Tots 4 (4 yrs.) 45 min. Instructor Referral Required
More emphasis placed on basic gymnastics skills on the Olympic
apparatus - bars, balance beam, floor exercise, vaulting and trampoline.

Welcome to the 2012 tennis program. Our mission is to offer a tennis experience that will promote all participants to pursue the
sport of a lifetime-TENNIS! Michael Burt, Director of Tennis, USPTA Certified
In 2012, the rules of tennis have officially changed for all tennis players 10 & under. Players will be using slower moving & lower
bouncing balls, shorter & lighter rackets and play on smaller courts. This will make it easier for more kids to have success and
thus help make tennis more fun from the start. Our staff will be trained and dedicated to implementing these changes.
Tennis Lesson Rain Policy: Players will be able to make up cancelled classes by attending alternative class sessions of the same level.

Competitive and recreational figure skaters can enhance
their skills through our summer program. Daily sessions will
be available for freestyle training, ice dancing, moves in

RETURNING FAVORITE! Come discover creepy, crawly wonders
of nature. Junior bug scientists learn what makes a bug by
observing their stages of growth in the kidscommons lab. Campers
will then step into the world of insects to learn how they move, see,
eat, and change. Slip on gardening gloves to discover plants that
attract beneficial bugs or keep away nasty invertebrates. Using
what they learn during the week, bugologists will go on a bug safari
in the kidscommons neighborhood.
