Additionally, land use surrounding a water supply site is a major consideration in the<br />

selection and protection of well sites to avoid contamination. The Village’s Wellington’s<br />

Land Development Regulations (LDR) restricts the uses permitted within the “zone of<br />

influence”. As part of the Village's Wellington’s Wellhead Protection plan, The Village<br />

Wellington consistently works to identify all potential sources of contamination for<br />

existing wells. The direction of groundwater flow is to the southeast.<br />
