Not everyone can dedicate 40+ hours a week to promote life and social justice. We have jobs and families
and many other issues in our lives that take considerable time and energy. When numerous individuals are
able to provide limited support through their time, energy or fiscal means, MCC is able to advocate, teach ,
lobby and organize on your behalf. Your MCC representative in Helena is Moe Wosepka, 406-442-5761 or
email: director@montanacc.org.
Promoting life and social justice in the state of Montana is very rewarding, both personally and for those who
benefit from this work.
Parish Vision
Statement
~There’s a place & ministry
for each of you~
...a community: where social justice is embodied in
all parishioners.
“The inalienable rights of the person must be
recognized and respected by civil society and the
political authority. These human rights depend
neither on single individuals nor on parents; nor
do they represent a concession made by society
and the state; they belong to human nature and
are inherent in the person by virtue of the
creative act from which the person took his
origin. Among such fundamental rights one
should mention in this regard every human
being’s right to life and physical integrity from the
moment of conception until death.” - CCC 2273
Talk with your family or friends and pray about
what you can offer. Even if your contributions are
limited, you can help make a difference. Here are
a few of the many ways you can help:
 Learn about Catholic Social Teaching
Become informed about social justice issues
 Learn about your state government
Volunteer at one of the many Catholic charities
or associated organizations
Get to know your priest and people in your
parish
Write letters to the editor or post comments to
social networking sites
Write letters to your government leaders
Make a donation. No amount is too small.
 Pray, pray and pray!
Social Justice
The commandment of mutual love, which represents the law of life for God’s people , must
inspire, purity and elevate all human relationships in society and in politics. “To be human
means to be called to interpersonal communion”, because the image and likeness of the
Trinitarian God are the basis of the whole of “human ‘ethos’, which reaches its apex in the
commandment of love”. The modern cultural, social, economic and political phenomenon of
interdependence, which intensifies and makes particularly evident the bonds that unite the
human family, accentuates once more, in the light of Revelation, “a new model of the unity
of the human race, which must ultimately inspire our solidarity. This supreme model of
unity, which is a reflection of the intimate life of God, one God in three Persons, is what we
Christians mean by the word ‘communion’”.
The Catholic Communication Campaign (CCC)
follows the Holy Father’s direction that we
make good use of our digital presence in the
world by making it easy to access the important
ideals of the Catholic faith online and through
television, radio and print media. CCC provides
content the way you need it, in podcasts for
daily readings, on web sites to connect with
other faithful, and on social networking sites.
Please be generous this weekend and support
this important work. Remember - half of your
donations stay in our diocese to support our
communication needs. CCC is how the Good
News gets around to you..
If you would like to help, please mark your contribution
envelope for Catholic Communication
Campaign and/or put CCC in the memo part of
your check. Thank you.
Words of Life
“Religious liberty is not only about
our ability to go to Mass on Sunday
or pray the Rosary at home. It is
about whether we can make our
contribution to the common good of
all Americans. Can we do the good
works our faith calls us to do, without
having to compromise that very
same faith? Without religious liberty
properly understood, all Americans
suffer, deprived of the essential
contribution in education, health
care, feeding the hungry, civil rights,
and social services that religious
Americans make every day.”
