Use duplicate removal in multifile SDIs since patent numbers are used across databases • Multifile SDIs are run separately as single file SDIs in each selected database • Patent numbers are compared across patent databases, just like the DUPLICATE REMOVE command • Duplicates are removed when they appear and a preferred database cannot be specified • Basic patents are compared between DWPI SM and CAplus, so duplicates are not always identified 23
