- Starting in the town of Granichen, Switzerland, 

Jakob Zehnder sold and repaired machinery and 

motorcycles in his workshop. 

- Jakob and his seven sons built a factory to enter 

the enameling and metal plating market. 

- During the recession that followed WWI, the 

brothers created a niche market for a light 

motorcycle which proved to be immensely popular, 

winning races and sparking Zehnderli clubs. 

- Using technology from the cooling systems of the motorcycles, six of 

the seven brothers began a new company to reinvent the radiator. By 

using tubular steel instead of heavy cast iron, they were able to create 

a more efficient and aesthetic heating system - the foundation of 

today's multinational company.

The Zehnder controller sets the Zehnder towel radiators 

apart. Our radiators are all-inclusive, with no need to add a 

programmable thermostat with additional cost, construction, 

and wiring. 

The Zehnder Infrared Controller and heating element provide 

many advantages: 

� Eight heat levels for optimum temperature settings. 

� Manual override reverts to preprogrammed settings. 

� Wireless control for easy installation and no more wires. 

With push button technology that slides out of sight, the 

zehnder controller is as easy to program as setting an alarm 

clock. Set the controller for temperature and daily and/or 

weekly programs and relax and enjoy the comfort!
