2 Gayle Burgess Textile artist Gayle’s love of creating bright and beautiful art wear has resulted in her textile practice becoming interwoven with her painting skills. Coloured fibres ooze from her hands, becoming paint laid out. She hand dyes wools and silks to add to the painted effect and incorporates handpainting, felting, crochet, stitching and recycling to produce unique art wear. Christine Cafarella-Pearce Painter A multi-award winning contemporary realist artist, Christine mainly works in oils using distinctive technique, colour and design methods. Landscapes showcase the Yarra Valley, inland Australia, river, ocean and beach, while figurative works concentrate on body language. Christine paints in response to environment, people, seasons, events and situations. She involves viewers, creating emotional connections between themselves and her work. Christine often paints on site where the colours, sights and sounds become her inspiration.
