34 Jeremy Lee 7 Shub sculptor Jeremy uses salvaged timbers, storm damaged and dead trees, mostly Cypress Macrocarpa, a creamy wood; the grain is caramel, toffee and honey. The timbers are harvested sustainably and his studio runs on solar power, love, chocolate and kisses. ‘I harness the Creative Juice of the Cosmos. Dancing wildly with Yin Yang. I enjoy the feminine form, smooth, soft and flowing. My energy is playful and erotic. My creativity is embraced, mostly chainsaw carving – abstract, archetypal. I want my creations to be touched, sat on and caressed. They are beings emerging from the wood. Denise Smith Painter Painting from nature is Denise’s passion. She strives for reality and individualism especially when creating her animals and birds; she believes they all have their own quirky personalities. Depending on the subject Denise uses either pastel, oil or acrylic and has recently been experimenting with mixed media.
