10 Ali Griffin Mixed media artist Ali’s art is informed by typography, topography, colour and questioning. It takes form in many mediums, be it written & designed, painted & poured, made into sculpture from found objects, or a combination of all. It is often conceptual, and always contextual. Ali is happiest when a work evokes a response from the viewer, whilst also satisfying her creative vision. Des Harry Painter Des is primarily a painter, but also creates sculptures and furniture. He has been painting on and off for 35 years, and his painted works range from experimental realism to contemporary abstraction. He originally worked only in oils, but has recently been using acrylics, painting very fast, creating large works with a limited colour range. Des prefers plein air painting, which although difficult, is much more rewarding. He is mostly self taught, but has been <strong>guide</strong>d by mentors such as Charles McCubbin and Colin Johnson.
