In 2008, she graduated from RMIT textile design which coincided with her move to the Valley. She now works intensively in her studio, in collage and screenprinting, creating wearable and usable art objects, and commissions. Ernst Fries Sculptor Ernst’s work is informed by his environment, and the ambience the Yarra Valley offers. The inspirational light especially at sunrise and sunset, the richness of the colour and the spatiality experienced at different hours of the day moves him to create his sculptures. He uses a diverse range of materials in his work and stainless steel, granite, glass and combinations of it are his preferred mediums.
