ECOTILE's lightweight design makes installation far less challenging and quicker than installing
heavier and delicate products. ECOTILE is half the weight of clay tiles which means that they can
be installed on existing homes without expensive structural roof modifications. This is also a great
choice for new homes because the lighter
weight saves on roof and truss costs, while
still achieving the look of natural products.
ECOTILE is easy to handle and can be cut,
drilled and fastened with standard tools for
a quicker, easier and less costly installation.
ECOTILE is non-porous and will therefore
not tolerate any form of water ingress.
Moss, mildew and algae will not grow on these
tiles.
In standard roofing, roof tiles are laid loose.
Burglars lift these tiles to gain entry into a property.
With the installation of ECOTILE entry through the
roof space would not be possible since each
ECOTILE is secured onto the batten with two
12 x 50mm screws.
ECOTILE's are much stronger than clay cement
type roof tiles. During the installation process there
would be less breakages. ECOTILE is able to
carry a heavier persons weight without bending or
breaking.
ECOTILE is able to withstand severe impact
shock. In the case of a home on a golf course
for example, ECOTILE would resist the impact
of a golf ball strike without any damage.
ECOTILE is also hail resistant.
Our patented manufacturing process includes
a UV blocking additive. ECOTILE can withstand extreme sunlight conditions and are suitable for all
weather conditions.
Since each ECOTILE is firmly secured onto the batten there are no weak links within
the ECOTILE roofing system. ECOTILE is able to withstand high winds and severe
rain. ECOTILE will keep severe weather conditions where it belongs - outside.
