9 Switching On and Off<br />

9.1 Switching On<br />

1. Check the following requirements:<br />

– correct electrical connections<br />

– voltages and polarities<br />

2. Switch the <strong>Sun</strong>ny Island DC circuit breaker to the "ON" position.<br />

☑ The display light of the <strong>Sun</strong>ny Island switches on.<br />

☑ The <strong>Sun</strong>ny Island initiates the start-up phase. The<br />

notifications shown here are displayed. The last<br />

notification is displayed as soon as the start-up<br />

phase is completed.<br />

3. Start QCG (press and hold down until the <strong>Sun</strong>ny Island beeps three times).<br />

☑ The QCG is started and the notification<br />

displayed here is shown. Continue as described<br />

in section 8.2 ”Starting the Quick Configuration<br />

Guide (QCG)” (page 57).<br />

Systems with several <strong>Sun</strong>ny Islands<br />

Switch on the Slaves before you switch on the master. To do this, proceed as follows.<br />

"250.01 AutoStr" Parameter<br />

Even with the "250.01 AutoStr" parameter set, the <strong>Sun</strong>ny Island must be manually started<br />

after each time the device is switched on using the DC circuit breaker.<br />
