Slave Device Failure<br />
You can influence the behavior of the cluster upon failure of a slave device. For more information, see<br />
section 12.8 ”Reaction in Case of Failures” (page 96).<br />
14.2 Grid<br />
The <strong>Sun</strong>ny Island supports the operation of grid backup systems on the grid. Here, a distinction is<br />
made between two main states: either a power distribution grid and stand-alone grid system are<br />
connected or a power distribution grid and stand-alone grid system are disconnected. The operating<br />
mode of the <strong>Sun</strong>ny Island is derived from this. If the stand-alone grid power system is disconnected,<br />
the <strong>Sun</strong>ny Island alone is responsible for powering this stand-alone grid system. If the power<br />
distribution grid is connected to the stand-alone grid system, the stand-alone grid system is powered<br />
from the power distribution grid. In this case, the voltage and frequency in the stand-alone grid are<br />
identical with the power distribution grid.<br />
Operating mode "Grid Charge"<br />
Under specific conditions, the system can also temporarily feed energy from the standalone<br />
grid system into the power distribution grid in the GridCharge operating mode<br />
("232.08 GdMod" parameter).<br />
