Chapter 4: Dual Space Face Recognition using Feature and Decision Fu-<br />
sion - This chapter introduces dual space based face recognition using feature and<br />
decision fusion. The discriminatory information from null space and range space <strong>of</strong><br />
within-class scatter are combined at feature and decision level separately to obtain<br />
better classification performance.<br />
Chapter 5: Enhancing Decision Combination <strong>of</strong> Face and Fingerprint by<br />
Exploitation <strong>of</strong> Individual Classifier Space: An approach to Multi-modal<br />
Biometry - Decision fusion <strong>of</strong> face and fingerprint is discussed in this chapter. We<br />
exploit each classifier space to enhance performance <strong>of</strong> our combination strategy. We<br />
also provide an algorithm for general multiple classifier combination based on our<br />
approach.<br />
Chapter 6: Conclusion - This thesis concludes with the summary <strong>of</strong> the work<br />
reported in this thesis, some remarks on our results, discussion on some <strong>of</strong> the open<br />
problems and the scope <strong>of</strong> further research in this area.<br />
Appendix A: Fingerprint Recognition System - The steps involved in the<br />
fingerprint recognition system implemented by us is described in an appendix.<br />
