multiple sample uptake
– Up to 28 secondary tubes can be pipetted from one
primary tube
– Up to 384 disposable tips on board in 4 trays
– The pipetted volume is calculated based on the single test
requests or based on fixed volume assigned to the sorting
target
– Clot detection is provided during the sample aspiration. If
the tube is affected, an error handling process can be
defined.
*Sysmex products are not sold by Roche.
Output (Sorting) Area
All tubes (primary and secondary) are sorted into the output
area. The sorting is done according to configurable sorting
criteria.
Standard Camera
The RSD Pro and RSA Pro basic system is equipped with a CCD
camera unit.
The camera provides the following basic functions and features:
• The cap color and tube dimensions are measured
• Detection if the tube is closed or opened
• The cap color is used to distinguish between tubes with the
same tube dimensions
• Processing of the different types of tubes (hematology,
coagulation, serum, plasma and urine tubes) according to
rules based on the received test requests
• Up to 20 different tube types (various closure types, tube
dimensions, cap colors) can be processed in one run
• Positive verification between bar code with material
identification and applied tube type. In the event of
mismatch appropriate error handling procedures can be
configured
• Support of bar code alignment
• Forwarding of the tube type information to the decap,
aliquot and optional recap unit.
Camera Options
The following extensions are available:
Tube Type Identification (TTI)
The TTI option supports all functions of the basic camera system
(e.g. the registration of cap color and tube dimensions, detection
of whether the tube is open or closed, etc.). In addition, the
recognized tube type (determined by the camera) is uploaded
together with the sample query to the connected IT system.
This information is a prerequisite to enable the IT system to
download test requests (e.g. depending on the sample material).
With tube type identification the cap color and tube dimensions
(tube diameter and tube height) are detected. Up to 20 different
tubes can be handled within one run. The tube type identification
compares the measured tube values with the reference values
of the currently known types. The tube type identification can be
uploaded to the connected IT system.
