Equipment security and prevention of unauthorised access<br />
14.20. You must take all reasonable steps to ensure that your terminal is protected against<br />
loss, theft, unauthorised access or use, modifi cation or other misuse. Such steps<br />
include regularly changing your refund password in accordance with the relevant<br />
user guide and not disclosing your refund password to anyone other than your<br />
authorised personnel.<br />
15. NAB Transact<br />
15.1. If we have agreed to provide you with the NAB Transact service this clause 15<br />
applies to your <strong>merchant</strong> services.<br />
15.2. The following terms have these meanings in this clause,<br />
batch fi le means a computer fi le containing details of transactions for processing by us<br />
in accordance with this <strong>agreement</strong>. For the purposes of the Batch Payment Service, these<br />
details include (in relation to each individual transaction) whether the card is a credit card<br />
or a charge card and the number and expiry date of that card, the cardholder’s name, the<br />
transaction reference, your <strong>merchant</strong> number, the transaction type and the authorisation<br />
identifi cation number.<br />
batch payments report means a computer fi le containing a report of all transactions<br />
processed during a given period as a result of your use of the batch payments service.<br />
batch payments service means the service that enables you to send us one or more<br />
transactions for processing at the same time if you are a NAB transact <strong>merchant</strong>.<br />
logon id means the combination of your password and User ID; or any other device, we<br />
issue to you so you can access certain <strong>merchant</strong> services through NAB Transact. The terms<br />
on which a logon id is issued to you are set out in the NAB Transact terms and conditions.<br />
virtual terminal service means the service that enables you to request authorisation of<br />
credit card transactions and non-standard card transactions online.<br />
Batch payments<br />
15.3. In respect of batch payments:<br />
(a) the batch payments service can only be used if you have been issued with a logon<br />
ID as part of that service; and<br />
(b) you will be taken to have requested authorisation and processing of all transactions<br />
in a batch fi le once the fi le enters our computer systems; and<br />
(c) the internet is an inherently insecure network and you assume the risk that we may<br />
not receive a batch fi le that you have sent us over this network using the batch<br />
payments service; and<br />
(d) we are not obliged to advise you each time we receive a batch fi le for processing; and<br />
