(ii) comply with all manuals, guides or directions we or the card schemes give you<br />

from time to time regarding the authentication procedures; and<br />

(iii) unless we agree otherwise, send us an authentication request each time a<br />

cardholder wishes to purchase goods or services from you on your website<br />

using their credit card; and<br />

(iv) carry out any additional authorisation procedures which arise out of<br />

authenticated transactions and of which we advise you in writing; and<br />

(c) you must not change your payment processing systems, equipment or any bureau<br />

you use for the purposes of the authentication procedures unless we have fi rst<br />

certifi ed the proposed change to any of them; and<br />

(d) if you send us an authentication transaction, or a transaction (other than a<br />

commercial card transaction) that you attempted to authenticate but couldn’t<br />

(because either the card issuer or cardholder wasn’t a registered participant in<br />

authentication), which we then authorise and process, we will not charge it back<br />

to you on the basis that the cardholder claims that they were not the person who<br />

purchased goods and services from you on your website; and<br />

(e) the procedures relating to authentication have been established by the card schemes<br />

and may be varied by them from time to time. You agree to comply promptly with<br />

any new or different requirements of which we notify you; and<br />

(f) we may decide to terminate or suspend your participation in authentication at any<br />

time. We will endeavour to give you reasonable notice of this decision. Upon receipt<br />

of that notice you must immediately return to us the password and any other guides<br />

and materials we have given you in connection with authentication; and<br />

(g) after termination or during any period of suspension of authentication we will<br />

process your transactions as if you had never been a participant in authentication<br />

and the usual chargebacks will apply.<br />

6. Transaction receipt<br />

6.1. You must prepare a transaction receipt for each transaction (except a contactless<br />

transaction or a recurring transaction where the cardholder has elected not<br />

to receive a receipt) in accordance with clause 6.2, but you must not charge<br />

a fee for doing so.<br />

6.2. The information contained on the transaction receipt must be identical with any<br />

other copy and must legibly include:<br />

(a) the amount, date and time of the transaction; and<br />

(b) a brief description of the goods or services; and<br />

(c) details of any cash provided; and<br />

(d) the currency symbol if it is in a foreign currency; and<br />

(e) for electronic commerce transactions:
