(b) any reporting requirements you have are working to your satisfaction, and when<br />

we are satisfi ed all of our operational requirements are met, we will approve you<br />

for live operation.<br />

4.13. Your web site payments page must be protected by Secure Sockets Layer or any other<br />

form of security method approved by us.<br />

Non-internet based electronic commerce <strong>merchant</strong> services<br />

4.14. Without limitation to any other clause of these general terms and conditions, you must<br />

comply with any additional terms and conditions we prescribe from time to time for<br />

any non-internet based electronic commerce <strong>merchant</strong> services we supply to you.<br />

Recurring transactions<br />

4.15. You may only process a transaction as a recurring transaction if:<br />

(a) you have obtained cardholder permission (either electronically or in hardcopy)<br />

to periodically charge for a recurring service; and<br />

(b) you retain this permission for the duration of the recurring services and make it<br />

available to us on request; and<br />

(c) you provide a simple and accessible online cancellation procedure, if the cardholder<br />

request for the goods or services was initially accepted online.<br />

4.16. You must not:<br />

(a) include partial payment for goods or services purchased in a single transaction; or<br />

(b) add any additional fi nance charges on a recurring transaction; or<br />

(c) complete a recurring transaction if you receive a decline response or a cancellation<br />

notice from the cardholder.<br />

Quasi-cash transactions<br />

4.17. Clauses 4.18 to 4.21 (inclusive) apply to <strong>merchant</strong>s conducting quasi-cash<br />

transactions (a transaction involving the purchase of goods easily converted into cash<br />

such as gaming chips, money orders or foreign cash). To the extent that there is any<br />

inconsistency between this clause and the other provisions of the <strong>agreement</strong>, clauses<br />

4.18 to 4.21 (inclusive) will prevail.<br />

4.18. You must identify the cardholder as follows:<br />

(a) where the card does not bear a photograph of the cardholder, you must sight<br />

positive identifi cation of the cardholder, and indicate the type of identifi cation<br />

sighted, including any serial number, on the transaction receipt; or<br />

(b) where the card bears a photograph of the cardholder, you must note on the<br />

transaction receipt that you verifi ed the cardholder’s identity by the photograph<br />

on the card.<br />
