Progress on the 1998 NMS
NOTTINGHAM LIGHT RAPID TRANSIT SCHEME This scheme has now received
funding, but will not include shared running over the Nottingham–Mansfield Line.
We will continue to support this project, ensuring that it provides benefits to our
customers.
EXTENSION OF ROBIN HOOD LINE (MANSFIELD–WORKSOP) This scheme
has now been completed and the service introduced.
PROPOSED RENEWAL OF SIGNALLING EQUIPMENT Following further
detailed analysis, our strategy in this field is now focused on life extension
providing a cost-effective way of improving reliability within signalling facilities.
PROPOSED LINESPEED IMPROVEMENTS DERBY–STOKE This particular
proposal has yet to begin, and has not been a focus for development during the
past year.
