Progress on the 1998 NMS
LONG-TERM ROUTE DEVELOPMENT The study has now reported and further
work is progressing with the Highways Agency and local governments.
STATIONS SRP work has recently been completed at Littlehampton and
Bognor Regis stations. SRP work continues at Eastbourne and will start at
Bexhill and Lewes during the year.
Customer-information systems at all Connex franchised stations are
being replaced and significantly improved through a Railtrack and Connex
partnership scheme .
DEPOTS Regeneration works have recently been completed at Eastbourne and
are under way at Littlehampton.
SIGNALLING We have completed our evaluation of renewals on the Seaford
branch and at Hastings, and have concluded that the equipment does not need
to be replaced at present.
