To meet the increasing demands of our customers worldwide
we are introducing two additional rope types
PROTECTOR ® XG HT and EXTREME ® XG HT (High
Traction).

Recommended applications of PROTECTOR ® XG HT and EXTREME ® XG HT rope are

in Calanders (VOITH Janus MK II and METSO Optiload)
During the acceleration phase in the beginning of the tail threading process the HT-versions prevent rope slippage in the
rope drive sheave. Rope slippage can cause speed differences between rope and paper tail and also the rope surface can
be destroyed.
Availability of rope diameters, spool lengths and colours are identical to the XG-versions.
Please note that the HT-versions are available in addition
to the PROTECTOR ® XG and EXTREME ® XG, not as substi-
tution.
The HT-versions of PROTECTOR ® XG and EXTREME ® XG
offer outstanding traction on metal surfaces combined with
the highest possible paper grip. Some multifunctional fibers
are added to the strong net of monofilaments which
effectively prevent rope slippage in the rope drive sheave.
