consists of a 100 hp, 1780 rpm Westinghouse motor connected to a<br />
6 x 6 x 16 ES Wilson-Snyder pump operating at 1,000 gpm. The<br />
pumps delivered cooling water to the hearth and bosh area of<br />
blast furnace number three.<br />

D. Blast Furnace Number Three Stack Pump House: The stack<br />
pump house for blast furnace number three is located just south<br />
of the bosh pump house. The approximately lO'-O" wide x 17'-0"<br />
long x 8'-0" high brick enclosure contains 100 hp, 1450 rpm motor<br />
connected to a model 8x6 SKD Allis-Chalmers pump operating at<br />
1,000 gpm.<br />

E. Blast Furnace Number Four Bosh Pump House: The bosh pump<br />
house for blast furnace number four is located approximately 8'-<br />
0" west of cast house number four. The approximately 20'-0" wide<br />
x 17*-0" long x 8'-0" high brick enclosure contains a 150 hp,<br />
1180 rpm Allis-Chalmers motor connected to a model 14 BA 2<br />
Wilson-Snyder pump operating at 5,000 gpm. The pump delivered<br />
cooling water to the hearth and bosh area of blast furnace number<br />
four. Construction of pump house: 1896.<br />
Installation of motor/pump assembly: 1959.<br />
F. Blast Furnace Number Four Stack Pump House: The stack pump<br />
house for blast furnace number four is located just north of the<br />
bosh pump house. The approximately 10'-0" wide x 17'-0" long x<br />
8'-0" high brick enclosure contains the remains of two motor/pump<br />
assemblies, the main assembly and a booster assembly. The<br />
remains of the main assembly consists of a 100 hp, 1175<br />
Westinghouse motor. The remains of the booster assembly consists<br />
of a 100 hp, 1770 Allis-Chalmers motor.<br />

G. Dorothy Six Pump House: See inventory of the combustion<br />
air production and delivery system - section II - part M for<br />
building description. Located within the building are two bosh<br />
motor/pump assemblies, two hearth stave motor/pump assemblies,<br />
two stack motor/pump assemblies and four strainers. Each bosh<br />
motor pump assembly consists of a 200 hp, 1775 rpm General<br />
Electric Custom 8,000 motor connected to a model 10 x 12 x 14 1/2<br />
DVC Wilson-Snyder pump operating at 4500 gpm. The bosh pumps
