XIII. General Services and Transportation Office: Laid out on a<br />

northeast-southwest axis, the one story, 47' long x 35* wide<br />

General Services and Transportation office is located 40'<br />

southwest of the General Storehouse. Constructed on a concrete<br />

foundation by the American Bridge Company, the steel-framed<br />

building has a brick exterior and a hipped slate roof.<br />

Rectangular windows are located on three of the building's four<br />

walls. A locker room exists in the cellar of the building. The<br />

main floor contains six offices.<br />

Construction date: ca. 1910.<br />

XIV. Millwrights Office Building: Laid out on a north-south<br />

axis, the one story, 25' long x 19' wide Millwrights Office<br />

Building is located at the northern end of the blast furnace ore<br />

yard. Built on a concrete foundation by the American Bridge<br />

Company, the steel-framed building has a brick exterior. Its<br />

corrugated metal gable roof is supported by Fink trusses.<br />

Corbelling exists just under the building's eaves. Segmented<br />

arch windows rim the four walls of the building. Its main floor<br />

contains four offices.<br />

Construction date: ca. 1910.<br />

XV. North Blast Furnace Sub-Station: Laid out on a north-south<br />

axis, the two story, 76 f long x 32' wide North Blast Furnace Sub-<br />

Station is located 8' east of the Millwrights Office Building at<br />

the northern end of the blast furnace ore yard. Constructed from<br />

a concrete foundation by the American Bridge Company, the indoor<br />

electrical sub-station has a flat roof. Entrance into the<br />

building was prohibited at the time of the HAER inventory.<br />

Construction date: ca. 1970.<br />

XVI. Fuel and Instrument Building/Indoor Sub-Station: The two<br />

story, 66* long x 43' wide Fuel and Instrument Building is laid<br />

out on a east-west axis, approximately 100' east of the 487,000<br />

gallon Water Treatment Reaction Tanks. Built on a concrete<br />

foundation by the American Bridge Company, the steel-framed<br />

building has a brick exterior with a flat roof. Corbelled<br />

brickwork exists along the cornice of the building. Rectangular<br />

windows rim both floors of the building on its northern,<br />

southern, and eastern walls. The building's first floor contains<br />

several instrument panels at its northern end and three offices<br />

at its southern end. The second floor contains a locker room.<br />

Construction date: ca. 1925.<br />

XVII. Brick Shed/Tool and Locker Room: Laid out on a east-west<br />

axis, the two story, 163' long x 52 f wide Brick Shed is located<br />

20' north of the Fuel and Instrument Building. Constructed on a<br />

concrete foundation by the American Bridge Company, the<br />

building's brick exterior encases a steel frame. Its gable roof
