1. Teeming Platform: An approximately 8*-0" wide x 200'-0"<br />

long x 10*-0" high steel framed teeming platform is located along<br />

the western side of the aisle near its southern end. Running on<br />

the floor alongside the platform through the entire length of the<br />

aisle is a combination narrow and standard gauge track.<br />

2. Ladle Repair Pit: Laid out on a north-south axis along<br />

the eastern side of the aisle near its northern end is a 21 , -4"<br />

wide x 37'-10" long x 18'-4" deep concrete ladle repair pit. The<br />

pit is capable of servicing two ladles at a time.<br />

D. Far Western Teeming Aisle: The 65 f -7" wide x 52 5'-0" long<br />

far western teeming aisle makes up the ground floor of the<br />

building's far western bay. The bay is serviced by two<br />

300/75/25-ton E.O.T. cranes.<br />

1. Teeming Platform: An approximately 8'-0" wide x 10'-0"<br />

long steel framed teeming platform extends the length of the<br />

aisle along its western wall. A combination narrow and standard<br />

gauge track set upon the floor alongside the platform runs its<br />

entire length.<br />

2. Teeming Ladles: Four 175-ton teeming ladles are located<br />

on the eastern side of the aisle near its northern end.<br />

Construction date of BOP shop: 1963.<br />

Construction of 200'-0" extension to northern end of<br />

charging aisle: 1976.<br />

Installation of all equipment within building: 1963.<br />

V. Clean Steel Production Building: Laid out on a north-south<br />

axis, the clean steel production building is an extension to the<br />

northern end of the BOP shop's near western teeming aisle.<br />

Constructed by the American Bridge Company, it is a 64*~5" wide x<br />

200'-0" long x 80'-0" high steel framed, corrugated metal clad<br />

building, built on a concrete foundation. The building's gable<br />

roof is supported by Fink trusses.<br />

Located inside of the building is an approximately 8'-0"<br />

wide x 10•-0" high steel framed platform running along the<br />

western wall of the building for its entire length. A<br />

combination narrow and standard gauge track set upon the floor<br />

extends from the BOP shop's near western teeming aisle along the<br />

entire length of the platform. Argon gas was blown into recently<br />

teemed ingot moulds from the platform for the purpose of removing<br />

entrained gases from the steel.<br />
