RULEBOOK 2013 Penn State IFC/Panhellenic Dance Marathon APPENDIX D – POINTS ASSOCIATED WITH FUNDRAISING, MERCHANDISE, AND ADOPT-A-FAMIILY MISCONDUCT These infractions and assigned point values are left to the discretion of the members of the Overall Committee. Any organization that repeatedly violates even seemingly minor rules and regulations as set forth in the THON 2013 Rulebook will be subject to a meeting with the Overall Committee and consequences such as the ones listed in the following table. • Failure to get design approval before ordering committee or organization merchandise from one of the approved vendors • Failure to submit two (2) bi-weekly AAF reports in a row • Failure to remove foreign objects (screws, paperclips, etc.) from the collected coins • Failure to submit funds raised through a Donation Box within 10 days • Failure to submit funds raised through an Alternative Fundraiser within 10 Depositing a personal check into campus accounts. ONLY cash may be deposited into campus accounts. (Commonwealth Regulation) • Organization misses 2 AAF meetings or workshops • Failure to turn in canning money to Finance Committee at Canning Drop- Offs (penalty will be reassessed each day it is late) • Organization violates any of the policies regarding selling merchandise as an alternative fundraiser • Failure to comply with SORAAC • Failure to register canning trip before 11:59 PM the Friday of the fundraising weekend • Any unauthorized Alternative Fundraising Event • Use of unauthorized solicitation materials (i.e. posters, can wraps, solicitation cards, proof of donation cards) • Organization uses THON name, logo, “For The Kids” or Four Diamonds logo in an inappropriate manner in any form (i.e. clothing, poster, Web site) • Organization fails to order merchandise through one of the licensed vendors Unauthorized solicitation on University Property (i.e. Beaver Stadium) • An unauthorized Alternative Fundraising Event that promotes the sale or distribution of alcohol • Organization is found lying about contact with family • Organization deposits monies gained from solicitation into its University Associated Student Activities Account • Canning outside of the three determined Canning Weekends • Unsafe or illegal canister solicitation • Organization Member found canning without Canning Workshop attendance • An organization member is found canning without attending a canning workshop session • Organization is found to have forced volunteers to fundraise • Repeat offenses or combinations of offenses above • Any behavior that does not represent THON or Penn State with integrity as deemed necessary by the Overall Committee 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 or More 66
