2013 Penn State IFC/Panhellenic Dance Marathon
Committee members will ask pass-holders to leave once their pass onto the event
level has expired. Use of passes for an unlimited amount of time THON Weekend
is strictly prohibited.
6.3.6. Passes will NOT be given to those considered to be a threat to the safety of the
dancers (i.e. intoxicated or overly obnoxious behavior). ANYONE SUSPECTED OF
BEING UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL OR ANY OTHER SUBSTANCE
WILL BE ESCORTED FROM THE BRYCE JORDAN CENTER– NO
EXCEPTIONS!
6.3.7. This substance-free policy is not only a policy of THON’s, but of the Bryce Jordan
Center as well, and police and BJC personnel are aware of this. In addition,
inappropriate actions could jeopardize the status of an organization and result in
forfeiture of floor visitation rights at THON 2013. In extreme situations, dancer
couples and passes could be taken away for future THONs.
6.3.8. Immediate dismissal from the Bryce Jordan Center will be strictly enforced by
Rules and Regulations Captains, Committee members, and Penn State Police and
Auxiliary Police, if necessary.
6.3.9. THE OVERALL COMMITTEE, RULES AND REGULATIONS CAPTAINS,
THEIR COMMITTEE MEMBERS, AND POLICE SERVICES ALL RESERVE THE
RIGHT TO DENY ADMISSION TO THE EVENT LEVEL AND THE BRYCE
JORDAN CENTER AT ANYTIME.
6.3.10. FAILURE TO MEET THESE RULES WILL RESULT IN FORFEITURE OF
YOUR ORGANIZATION’S FLOOR PASSES FOR THON 2013.
6.3.11. DUPLICATING OR SELLING FLOOR PASSES IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED.
Should any organization be found in violation of this policy, that organization will
lose floor pass privileges for the remainder of THON 2013 and receive a reduced
number of floor passes for THON 2014 at the discretion of the Overall Rules and
Regulations Chairperson.

6.4. ORGANIZATIONAL TOTAL RECOGNITION IS BASED ON THE FOLLOWING
CRITERIA
6.4.1. All money received by 11:59pm, Saturday, February 16 , 2013, that is designated
to be credited to an organization will be credited to that organization.
6.4.2. An example of the formula used to calculate organizational total
recognition is the following:
