<strong>2013</strong> Penn State IFC/Panhellenic Dance Marathon<br />

organization’s general meeting, the Family Relations Committee will hold a<br />

presentation at another general meeting to discuss the organization’s<br />

misconduct. If you have any questions regarding the AAF program, please<br />

contact the Overall Family Relations Chairperson, Sarah Miele<br />

(family.relations@thon.org).<br />

5.0 DANCER INFORMATION<br />

5.1. Dancer Classifications<br />

5.1.1. Greek Organization Couples: Couples who hold membership in an organization<br />

recognized by the IFC, PHC, MGC, and NPHC. This also includes student<br />

organizations paired with Greek organizations, as well as the IFC, PHC, MGC, and<br />

NPHC themselves.<br />

5.1.2. Special Interest Organization Couples: Couples who hold membership in an<br />

organization recognized by the Office of Student Activities with the sole purpose of<br />

supporting THON.<br />

5.1.3. General Organization Couples: Couples who hold membership in an<br />

organization recognized by the Office of Student Activities with an additional<br />

purpose of supporting THON.<br />

5.1.4. Independent Dancer Couples: Couples who are dancing independently of any<br />

student organization that participates in THON.<br />

5.1.5. Alumni Couples: Couples who have graduated from The Pennsylvania State<br />

University and are members of the Dance Marathon Alumni Interest Group (Dance<br />

Marathon AIG). They are selected by Dance Marathon AIG each year.<br />

5.1.6. New Organization Couples: Couples whose organizations are participating in<br />

THON for the first time or whose organizations do not have a fundraising total from<br />

THON 2012. These organizations MUST be recognized by the Office of Student<br />

Activities.<br />

5.2. Number of Dancer Couples<br />

5.2.1. Lion Shrine Status: If an organization, paired or unpaired raises $190,000 or<br />

more in THON <strong>2013</strong>, that organization is granted a 5 th dancer couple in THON<br />

2014.<br />

5.2.1.1. Please note: due to the growth of THON and the number of families,<br />

dancers, volunteers, and guests who visit the BJC each year, organizations<br />

that qualify as Lion Shrine status for THON <strong>2013</strong> will receive the following<br />

number of finale passes. Unpaired organizations: ten (10) passes. Paired<br />

organizations: five (5) passes PER ORGANIZATION.<br />

5.2.2. Collective Organizations: The number of dancer couples allotted is based solely<br />

on the amount of money raised by a collective organization that includes either a<br />

single registered organization or a registered pair of organizations. New<br />
