Misconduct Consequence Organization fails to attend AAF meeting or 1 point workshop Organization fails to submit 2 bi-weekly 2 points reports in a row Organization misses 2 AAF meetings or 2 points workshops Organization is found lying about contact with 6 points family 4.2.7.4. 1-2 points=Meeting between assigned Family Relations AAF Liaison and organization’s Family Relations Chair 4.2.7.5. 3 points=Meeting between assigned Family Relations AAF Liaison, Overall Family Relations Chairperson, Overall Chairperson, and organization’s Family Relations Chair, THON Chair(s), and president 4.2.7.6. 4 points*=Meeting between assigned Family Relations AAF Liaison Captain, Overall Family Relations Chairperson, Overall Chairperson, and organization’s Family Relations Chair and THON Chairs; mandatory organization workshop and selection of a Family Relations Co-Chair or, if necessary, new Chair selected by the organization 4.2.7.7. 7 points*=Organization is “red-flagged.” Meeting between assigned Family Relations AAF Liaison, Overall Family Relations Chairperson, Overall Chairperson, and organization’s Family Relations Chair, THON Chair(s), and president; mandatory organization workshop; new Family Relations Chair selected by the organization; discussion of removal of family-organization partnership; organization will lose access to floor passes during THON weekend by the decision of the Overall Family Relations Chairperson. 4.2.7.8. 8 or more points=Removal of AAF family; organization will not be able to re-apply for the AAF program for 2 years; organization is considered suspended from the AAF program. 4.2.7.9. *Please note that a mandatory organization workshop (4- and 5-point penalty) means that in addition to the Family Relations presentation at the 44
Rulebook 2013 Penn State IFC/Panhellenic Dance Marathon organization’s general meeting, the Family Relations Committee will hold a presentation at another general meeting to discuss the organization’s misconduct. Dancer Classifications 5.1.1. Greek Organization Couples: Couples who hold membership in an organization recognized by the IFC, PHC, MGC, and NPHC. This also includes student organizations paired with Greek organizations, as well as the IFC, PHC, MGC, and NPHC themselves. 5.1.2. Special Interest Organization Couples: Couples who hold membership in an organization recognized by the Office of Student Activities with the sole purpose of supporting THON. 5.1.3. General Organization Couples: Couples who hold membership in an organization recognized by the Office of Student Activities with an additional purpose of supporting THON. 5.1.4. Independent Dancer Couples: Couples who are dancing independently of any student organization that participates in THON. 5.1.5. Alumni Couples: Couples who have graduated from The Pennsylvania State University and are members of the Dance Marathon Alumni Interest Group (Dance Marathon AIG). They are selected by Dance Marathon AIG each year. 5.1.6. New Organization Couples: Couples whose organizations are participating in THON for the first time or whose organizations do not have a fundraising total from THON 2012. These organizations MUST be recognized by the Office of Student Activities. 5.2. Number of Dancer Couples 5.2.1. Lion Shrine Status: If an organization, paired or unpaired raises $190,000 or more in THON 2013, that organization is granted a 5 th dancer couple in THON 2014. 5.2.1.1. Please note: due to the growth of THON and the number of families, dancers, volunteers, and guests who visit the BJC each year, organizations that qualify as Lion Shrine status for THON 2013 will receive the following number of finale passes. Unpaired organizations: ten (10) passes. Paired organizations: five (5) passes PER ORGANIZATION. 5.2.2. Collective Organizations: The number of dancer couples allotted is based solely on the amount of money raised by a collective organization that includes either a single registered organization or a registered pair of organizations.
