<strong>2013</strong> Penn State IFC/Panhellenic Dance Marathon<br />

2.2.7.5.1. The primary focus of an alternative fundraiser event cannot be the<br />

sale, distribution or consumption of alcohol, nor can any funds received<br />

from alcohol be donated to THON.<br />

2.2.7.6. Bake Sale Regulations<br />

2.2.7.6.1. Bake sales are not allowed to take place on any Penn State<br />

Campus due to University Policy.<br />

2.2.7.6.1.1. All Bake Sales submitted on Campuses will be immediately<br />

denied.<br />

2.2.7.6.2. For bake sales occurring in State College, the document on<br />

www.thon.org/documents titled “Bake Sale Application” must be<br />

completed at least seven (7) days before the event.<br />

2.2.7.6.2.1. These forms must be submitted on THINK as well as<br />

emailed to costromecki@statecollegepa.us<br />

2.2.7.6.2.2. These forms require that you contact and attain signatures<br />

from any business where the bake sale will occur.<br />

2.2.7.6.2.3. All organizations are required to abide by all laws for the<br />

handling of food set forth by the Department of Health of the<br />

Borough of State College.<br />

2.2.7.6.2.4. All bake sales must end by 10pm.<br />

2.2.7.7. University Ticketing Services<br />

2.2.7.7.1. If your organization is selling tickets using University Ticketing<br />

Services, you must work with ASA for the opening and closing of the<br />

ticket account.<br />

2.2.7.7.2. All funds from the ticket sales must be turned in to ASA and the<br />

account must be closed.<br />

2.2.7.7.3. Once the account is closed, ASA will arrange payment to THON<br />

for the Alternative Fundraiser.<br />

2.2.7.8. THON may not be used in the name of the event (i.e. “THON Bakesale”)<br />

but may be used in concurrence (i.e. “Bakesale benefiting THON”)<br />

2.2.7.9. All alternative fundraisers that are utilizing a percentage of the<br />

restaurant’s sales must have at least 15% of the sales donated to THON.<br />

2.2.7.9.1. Note that this cannot be 15% of profit, it must be at least 15% of<br />

sales.<br />
