<strong>2013</strong> Penn State IFC/Panhellenic Dance Marathon<br />

loss of funds from given occasion, 5% deduction of THON <strong>2013</strong> total,<br />

loss of pass(es), loss of dancer couple(s). A complete list of points and<br />

all associated penalties is available in Appendices D and E.<br />

2.2.2.6.11.1. THON Committees will be canning at the Penn State<br />

Football Game Featuring THON. Absolutely no organizations<br />

or independent dancer couples may can during this event. All<br />

donations collected will be a general donation to THON.<br />

2.2.2.6.12. Please contact the Overall Rules and Regulations Chairperson,<br />

Mike Wellner, with any questions (rules.regulations@thon.org)<br />

2.2.2.7. POST CANNING PROCEDURE<br />

2.2.2.7.1. Proceeds from canister solicitations must be brought to the THON<br />

Finance Committee on the Monday during your assigned Canning Drop-<br />

Off time following each Canning Weekend. All money to be credited to<br />

an organization must be turned in at one time.<br />

2.2.2.7.2. Bills must be separated by denomination. If bills are wet, they<br />

must be dried before being brought to Canning Drop-Off.<br />

2.2.2.7.3. Coins may be brought in cans (separated from bills) without being<br />

separated among themselves. ALL FOREIGN OBJECTS (SCREWS,<br />

PAPER CLIPS, ETC.) MUST BE REMOVED FROM COINS BEFORE<br />

TURNING THEM IN.<br />

2.2.2.7.3.1. All organizations found in violation of these rules will gain<br />

two (2) points. Penalties associated with two points include meeting<br />

with Appropriate Member(s) of the Overall Committee and/or<br />

Captain Committee and a 5% deduction in funds raised from given<br />

occasion. A complete list of points and all associated penalties is<br />

available in Appendices D and E.<br />

2.2.2.7.4. If money is not turned in to the Finance Committee at Canning<br />

Drop-Offs, the organization will gain two (2) points for each day the<br />

money is late. Penalties associated with two (2) points include: a<br />

meeting with the appropriate member(s) of the Overall Committee, 5%<br />

deduction of funds raised at given occasion. A complete list of points<br />

and all associated penalties is available in Appendices D and E.<br />

2.2.2.7.4.1. Please contact the Overall Finance Chairperson, Jen Stipa<br />

(finance@thon.org) with any questions.<br />

2.2.2.7.5. Following each canning trip, the organization must complete the<br />

“Post-Canning Report” form for each trip within 10 days after the end of<br />
