4. This kit and its finished product contain small parts that may cause choking if misused. Keep away from children<br />

under 3 years old.<br />

1 soft body doll, wool, pink, white and silver lace, ribbon, birth certificate, glue, double adhesive tape, face<br />

template, colour pencils, detailed instructions. (This kit contains 3 different ribbons: shoe ribbon - 7mm width, belt<br />

ribbon - 10mm width, leotard ribbon - 25 mm) Content for making a doll of 22cm.<br />

C. INSTRUCTIONS<br />

Before you start making your ballerina’s<br />

hair, cut a 15cm strip of wool for step 4<br />

and a 240cm piece of wool for step 11.<br />

Take the 15cm wool strip you cut in step<br />

1 and tie it around the middle of the<br />

larger woolen loop.<br />

Place the end of the wool in the area<br />

shown by the arrow.<br />

Wind the remaining wool around a book<br />

(approximately 30cm in length) as<br />

shown in the diagram.<br />

Gently slide the wool off the book. Apply some craft glue to the back and<br />

front of the ballerina’ s head and fix her<br />

hair into position. Leave it to dry for<br />

about an hour.<br />

There is fastening tape attached to the back of your ballerina’s head. The woolen<br />

hair will stick to it like magic without using glue. Follow the arrow direction as<br />

shown and gently press the hair against the fastening tape. (Note: It may be<br />

difficult to reposition the wool once it is fixed firmly.)<br />

The front of her head should look like<br />

this. Press firmly again to fix the hair in<br />

position.<br />

GLUE<br />

Apply some glue to further secure the<br />

loose wool.<br />

Take the 240cm piece of wool. Wind the<br />

wool around a book (approximately<br />

12cm in length) as shown in the<br />

diagram.<br />

It will look like this. Trim both ends to make a bun for your<br />

ballerina’s hair. (Note: Adult assistance<br />

required when using scissors)<br />

Tiara Leotard Top<br />

The front of the ballerina’s head will look<br />

like this. Attach double-sided adhesive<br />

tape to her bun and stick the silver lace<br />

tiara in place. You have now completed<br />

her hair.<br />

Gently slide the wool off your palm and<br />

tie a knot.<br />

Apply some craft glue to the top of the<br />

ballerina’s head as shown and stick her<br />

bun in position. Leave it to dry for an<br />

hour. Make sure the craft glue is<br />

completely dry before proceeding to<br />

next step.<br />

Cut the blue ribbon in half. Attach the double-sided adhesive tape<br />

to the top of the blue ribbons, and peel<br />

the backing off the double-sided<br />

adhesive tape.

Attach one piece of ribbon to the<br />

ballerina’s chest and the second to her<br />

back. You have now completed her top.<br />

Roll up up the the lace lace<br />

along the long side<br />

Cut a strip 3cm wide from the pink lace.<br />

Then, cut the 3 cm strip in half. Roll both<br />

halves into circular shapes as shown in<br />

the diagram.<br />

Fold the remaining lace in half lengthwise,<br />

making the top layer slightly<br />

shorter than the lower layer, and with<br />

more colourful side facing outwards.<br />

Attach the white lace around her neck<br />

with a small piece of double-sided<br />

adhesive tape.<br />

Using double-sided adhesive tape, wrap<br />

the pink lace around her shoulder. Wrap<br />

another strip around the other shoulder.<br />

Apply the lace to the double-sided tape,<br />

making even pleats around the waist to<br />

create the tutu as shown.<br />

Sleeves<br />

Apply the double-sided adhesive tape to<br />

the ballerina’s shoulders as shown and<br />

peel off the backing.<br />

Tutu<br />

Attach the double-sided adhesive tape<br />

to your ballerina’s waist.<br />

Belt<br />

Apply another piece of double-sided<br />

adhesive tape to the back of the pink<br />

ribbon and peel off the backing.<br />

Attach the belt ribbon to the waist as<br />

shown in the diagram.<br />

Place the middle of one ribbon on the<br />

tape (as shown in the diagram) and wrap<br />

the two halves in opposite directions<br />

around the tip of the foot twice.<br />

Repeat the same steps on the other leg.<br />

You have now completed your<br />

ballerina’s shoes.<br />

Cut off the excess. The tutu is now<br />

finished. (Note: Adult assistance requir-<br />

ed when using scissors)<br />

Cross the ribbon over the leg and knot<br />

as shown in the diagram.<br />

Face<br />

Take the face stencil provided and place<br />

it on the doll’s face. Use the coloured<br />

pencils to colour the eyes blue and lips<br />

pink.<br />

Cut the shoe ribbon (7mm width) in half,<br />

making two pieces of equal length for<br />

each ballerina shoe. Place the doublesided<br />

adhesive tape around the tip of<br />

the foot.<br />

Make a nice bow and trim the ends of<br />

the ribbon. (Note: Adult assistance<br />

required when using scissors)<br />
