If <strong>the</strong> average growth is plotted as a function of time, some interesting observations that<br />

are important to <strong>the</strong> following discussion can be made. Since <strong>the</strong> 60 %- and 73 %-of -<br />

satiation feeding treatments resulted in such poor growth results, only <strong>the</strong> satiation and 87<br />

% of satiation growth trends are shown in Figure 5. Each data point represents <strong>the</strong><br />

average size of <strong>the</strong> fish, plotted at <strong>the</strong> mid-point of <strong>the</strong> 5-week time interval. Note that as<br />

<strong>the</strong> fish grow, <strong>the</strong> temperature associated with <strong>the</strong> maximum growth rate is declining, and<br />

<strong>the</strong> growth rate for all treatments in <strong>the</strong> final 5-week period declines precipitously. The<br />

temperature corresponding to maximum growth shifts form 32 °C to 29 °C approximately<br />
