Day 1 - Saturday : MARRAKESH
Arrival at Marrakesh Menara airport, welcome by the ATLAS
VOYAGES staff.
Assistance and transfer to your hotel.
Dinner and accommodation.
Day 2 - Sunday : MARRAKESH
Day free to enjoy the beauty of Marrakesh, Possibility to do Optional
Excursions.
Dinner and accommodation at the hotel.
Day 3 - Monday : MARRAKESH
Full day sightseeing of Marrakesh: The Menara gardens, The Bahia
Palace, The Saadian Tombs, and the Koutoubia mosque.
Lunch at the hotel. Afternoon, visit of the famous Djemaa El Fna
square with its surrounding souks and handicraft centres.
Optional :Dinner with oriental show, overnight at the hotel.
Day 4 - Tuesday : MARRAKESH / OUARZAZATE /
ZAGORA (375 km)
Departure by land rover to Ouarzazate via the mountains of the high
Atlas passing through the Tich’n’Tichka pass at an altitude of 2260 m.
Optional Lunch in Ouarzazate and continuation to Zagora via the
mountains of the Anti-Atlas.
From Agdz, we head forward on the track road leading through
numerous villages and palm groves along the Drâa river.
Dinner and accommodation at the hotel.
Day 5 - Wednesday : ZAGORA / ERFOUD / MERZOUGA
(450 km)
Excursion to Tamegroute, visit of the famous library containing an
impressive collection of old Manuscripts and documents dating from the
12th century.
Visit of the sand dunes of Tinfou. Departure to Erfoud, partly by track
road and partly by the national road, through Tansikht and Nkob.
On the way splendid sceneries of pre-saharian desert dotted here and
there with Berber villages, and of the Sargho mountain chain follow
each other the perpetually. Stop at Tazzarine, a small Berber village,
for(Optional) lunch.
Afternoon, continuation to Erfoud via the villages of Alnif and Rissani,
birthplace of the present Alaouites Dynasty. Dinner and accommodation
at the Auberge Tombouctou In Merzouga or under noeur tents
(bivouac), in case clients have chosen this option beforehand when
reserving the tour
Day 6- Thursday : MERZOUGA / ERFOUD /
OUARZAZATE (400 km)
Early morning, a short walk to see the sunrise over the
sand-dunes of Merzouga,
Back to the Auberge for breakfast and continuation to the
Tinghir Oasis via Erfoud. Tinghir is famous for its magnificent
Todra canyons which rocks reach an altitude of 250
meters. Excursion to the canyons and possibility for a
short hike. (Optional) Lunch at a restaurant situated at the
foot of the canyons. Continuation to Boulmane and EL
Kelâa via the road of the thousand Kasbahs and from
there we take again the track road to the village of Skoura.
On the way, we pass the beautiful kasbah of Amerhidel.
The track road continues till Ouarzazate at the foot of the
Atlas mountains. Dinner and accommodation in Ouarzazate.
Day 7 - Friday : OUARZAZATE / MARRAKESH (200 km)
Short visit of Ouarzazate including the Kasbah of Taourirt before
heading on to Aït Benhaddhou.
This kasbah is the most famous one in Morocco and has served as
setting for many famous movies. The Kasbah is now a UNESCO
protected monument
Continuation to Telouet, the scenery is absolutely stunning. Visit of the
Kasbah of Telouet, former residence of the Glaoui family, one of the
most influential families of this region. Via the Tich’N’tichka pass,
continuation to Marrakesh. Lunch at the hotel, free afternoon, Optional
dinner fantasia show. Accommodation at the hotel.
Day 8 - Saturday : MARRAKESH / DEPARTURE
Transfer to the airport of Marrakesh, assistance with departure formalities.
