(a) The network of retail branches in Italy
The country-wide network of branches represent the main point of contact with retail
customers and one of the most important product /service distribution channels of the
UniCredit Group.
As at September 30, 2009, in Italy the UniCredit Group was able to boast, thanks also
to the integration of the Capitalia Group, a network of 4,263 retail branches.
The table below shows the number of UniCredit Group retail branches in Italy as at
December 31, 2008, broken down by region and with an indication of the relative
market share at global level.
