which manages the related activities for the entire Group, are directly headed up by
the Chief Executive Officer.
6.1.2. Main activities
The Group’s main activities divide up into the following activity sectors:
Retail, which, from an organizational standpoint, is one of the three Strategic Business
Areas via which the Group operates;
CIB, which, from an organizational standpoint, is part of the Corporate & Investment
Banking and Private Banking Strategic Business Area;
Private Banking, which, from an organizational standpoint, is part of the Corporate &
Investment Banking and Private Banking Strategic Business Area;
Asset Management;
CEE and Poland’s Market.

following Paragraph 6.2 in this Chapter.
The tables presented below identify the main economic figures of the UniCredit Group
relating to the various sectors of activities regarding the nine months as at September
30, 2009, as at September 30, 2008 and the financial years closed as at December 31,
2008, 2007 and 2006.
For comparative purposes, on a consistent basis with the statement criteria adopted in
Chapter 9 to which reference is made for further details, the income statement figures
as at December 31, 2007 shown in the tables are those reconstructed, or rather
inclusive of the Capitalia Group for the entire financial year despite the merger
transaction having been completed on October 1, 2007.
