To create the abutment and provide<br />
the approach ramps to the bridges,<br />
VSL H<strong>on</strong>g K<strong>on</strong>g was awarded a full<br />
<strong>in</strong>stallati<strong>on</strong> package for 4,000m2 of<br />
VSoL ® Reta<strong>in</strong>ed Earth walls <strong>on</strong> the<br />
c<strong>on</strong>tract 1 project. Installati<strong>on</strong> work<br />
for the walls followed the erecti<strong>on</strong><br />
of a further 4,000m2 of VSoL ® 5<br />
<strong>on</strong> the<br />
Penny’s <strong>Bay</strong> c<strong>on</strong>tract 2 project which<br />
formed part of the same site access<br />
road. To match the architectural<br />
f<strong>in</strong>ish of the walls with that used for<br />
the c<strong>on</strong>tract 2 walls and <strong>on</strong> other<br />
parts of the Penny’s <strong>Bay</strong> site, the<br />
walls were built us<strong>in</strong>g 2.4m wide<br />
x 1.8m high panels which<br />
<strong>in</strong>corporated three different patterns<br />
and textures <strong>on</strong> a s<strong>in</strong>gle panel face.<br />
