Erect<strong>in</strong>g each deck<br />

<strong>in</strong> 3 stages<br />

Stages 1 and 2 <strong>in</strong>cluded the<br />

c<strong>on</strong>structi<strong>on</strong> of a full span, each<br />

made from10 to 12 segments<br />

weigh<strong>in</strong>g between 50 and 60 t<strong>on</strong>s and<br />

a quarter of the adjacent span, made<br />

with three segments match-cast<br />

aga<strong>in</strong>st the pier segments, built <strong>in</strong><br />

cantilever. Stage 3 comprised the<br />

clos<strong>in</strong>g of the last span. The pier<br />

segments were erected by crane and<br />

the gantry was subsequently<br />

launched over the pier segments.<br />

The segments of each span were<br />

assembled together and temporarily<br />

prestressed, prior to be c<strong>on</strong>nected to<br />

the pier segments with an <strong>in</strong>-situ<br />

stitch. When the c<strong>on</strong>crete of the<br />

stitches reached 20MPa, these<br />

assemblies where then<br />

pre-stressed for each stage <strong>in</strong><br />

two sequences of four tend<strong>on</strong>s each<br />

of 6-37 c<strong>on</strong>figurati<strong>on</strong>.<br />
