Mazlan Awang, is a certified trainer <strong>and</strong> Head of Industrial liaison & lecturer at <strong>Universiti</strong> <strong>Kuala</strong> <strong>Lumpur</strong> (UniKL)<br />
Malaysian Institute of Industrial Technology in Pasir Gudang, Johor. He received his B.Sc. in Industrial Engineering at<br />
University of Nebraska-Lincoln <strong>and</strong> Master in Mechanical Engineering (Manufacturing) from UTM.<br />
Prior to join academia, he spent the first 20 years of his career in industrial engineering <strong>and</strong> served several multinational<br />
companies such as Mattel Toys, Applied Magnetics <strong>and</strong> Tru-Tech Electronics. He is certified <strong>time</strong> & <strong>motion</strong><br />
<strong>study</strong> practitioner, internal consultant for SAP/R3 with extensive experience in Lean <strong>and</strong> productivity improvements.<br />
He left the manufacturing industry as Senior Corporate Manufacturing Engineering Manager.<br />
A registered engineer with Board of Engineers Malaysia, Senior Member of American Institute of Industrial Engineers<br />
<strong>and</strong> Member of MTM Assoc-UK. He teaches IE, Wok Design & Ergonomics <strong>and</strong> Lean Manufacturing courses in UniKL<br />
undergraduate program <strong>and</strong> conducted several executives short-courses.<br />
