Pasting Data from an OLE Server Application into a Notes Document<br />

Now that you have created a Notes <strong>for</strong>m, use this <strong>for</strong>m to create a Notes<br />

document and paste data from a Lotus 1-2-3 document into the Notes<br />

document.<br />

Note You must leave Notes up and running. Minimize it, but do not close<br />

it.<br />

Per<strong>for</strong>m the following steps to paste Lotus 1-2-3 data into a Notes<br />

document.<br />

1. First create a spreadsheet in Lotus 1-2-3. If you need help, refer to the<br />

Lotus 1-2-3 User’s Guide. Here is an example of a spreadsheet:<br />

2. Select the data in the spreadsheet you want to embed and choose Edit -<br />

Copy to copy it to the clipboard.<br />

3. Switch to the Notes window and create a document based on the OLE 2<br />

Document <strong>for</strong>m you created earlier.<br />

4. Click the Embedding radio button and click in the Object field.<br />

5. In the Notes document, choose Edit - Paste Special and select the 1-2-3<br />

Worksheet in the As: box.<br />
