Women=s Studies
Recommendation: Some of the most profound social changes of today
have their roots in the resurgence of the feminist movement
over the past two or three decades. Because the discovery
of the "personal as political" came about, initially, through
women's conversations with each other, opportunities for
continuing those conversations must be an essential part of
this program. For that very reason the seven "classes"
outlined below are, for the most part, topical in nature,
resource based, and discussion oriented. The teacher's
role should be that of facilitator.
1. "Women's Movement"--Historical and Modern Context
1.1 Discuss interpretations of the term Afeminism@.
1.2 Outline historical development of women's movement.
