Traffic safety efforts are effective ! 

• Low child accident rates in Stuttgart 

• Only 7 accidents on the way to school in 2007 (with 58,500 pupils/year) 

• 25 % decline in children’s accidents in the last 8 years 

• Great sense of security among children and parents
