Quality and Design
Externally…
Expair cabinets have aluminium frames
pre-painted in graphite grey and panels
pre-painted in white. The controls and
proximity switch are mounted on the front
of the cabinet in a separate opening vertical
panel finished in a contrasting colour,
thus combining quality, safety and design
in a single unit.
… and internally
CIAT finishes its products to impeccable
standards internally too. The double-walled
construction, generous internal space,
thoughtful cabling and easily accessible
hydraulic and electric connections ensure
fast, high-quality installation.

Performance
Acoustic performance
The very low sound level of this unit is partly due to its double-walled construction
(which contains 25mm of compressed glass wool) and partly to the external compressor
in its separate unit (for the DDA version, with direct expansion). The variable speed
internal and external fans also help reduce sound levels even further.
Filtration performance
The standard G4 Intersect filtration system
uses a filter impregnated with a biostatic
agent to inhibit bacteriological
growth.
The optional F7 opacimetric filtration system
uses a very large frontal area for
greater efficiency and lower power loss.
Sealing efficiency is provided by means of
a direct frame mounting using a physical
seal and a spring-operated compression
system.
Thermal performance
Expair cabinets are fitted with a chilled
water battery or a large frontal area direct
expansion system (of copper tube and
aluminium fin construction). Hot water
batteries, electric batteries and humidifiers
are all optional extras.
Aeraulics performance
The direct drive centrifugal fan has an
integral speed controller for easy and
accurate adjustment of the operating
point (airflow rate/pressure). The values
shown are those obtained in laboratory
tests.

The Expair range of precision air handling

2000 and 12,000 m 3 /h has been
specially designed to meet the most
demanding requirements of installations
generating high levels of heat internally,

A choice of 3 programmable controller units is offered to regulate and monitor these units.
This range of options enables us to get even closer to your precise unit management and BMS communication requirements.
CAREL µAC CONTROLLER
■ Temperature and humidity control.
