UPR-05
The universal Power Rail is a plastic insert that has been specifically designed to
seat into the DIN rail. Devices that can be mounted on a standard rail in accordance
with EN 50022, can easily be mounted on the DIN rail.
The Power Rail has 2 leads for supplying the modules with power, 1 lead for centralised
error messages and 2 leads for bus connection. These 2 leads are used on
Remote Process Interface, for the internal bus system, for the transfer of digital information.
The KF-series and Remote Process Interface devices are supplied with
power via the 2 leads. Gold plated contacts are provided to ensure secure electrical
contact. The UPR-05 do not feature "segmental" construction. Modules of any width
can be mounted on these rails. This ensures that it will be possible to mount future
component designs on the same rail. The TS35 type 12 end terminal is used as a
termination when the devices are mounted vertically. The cover serves as a means
of mechanical and electrical protection for exposed leads. It is possible to remove
the installed Power Rail from the DIN rail using the UPR-E end cap.
The universal Power Rail, the cover and the DIN rail are delivered in a standard
length of 2 m and can be cut with a saw to any required length.
Delivery package:
Universal Power Rail, aluminium DIN rail, cover, 2 UPR-E end caps. The UPR-E
end caps can be ordered separately (in packs of 10).
Please use this standard type for new systems.
