Function<br />
VAA-4E-G6-ZE<br />
The VAA-4E-G6-ZE is an <strong>AS</strong>-<strong>Interface</strong> compact<br />
module with 4 inputs. Mechanical contacts<br />
and 2- and 3-wire sensors can be<br />
connected to the inputs.<br />
Its particularly flat and narrow design makes<br />
the IP67 compact module especially suitable<br />
for applications in handling machines, robots<br />
etc. To achieve this protection class, it features<br />
completely encapsulated electronics.<br />
The module has the further advantage that it<br />
can be mounted in any position.<br />
The connection to the <strong>AS</strong>-<strong>Interface</strong> cable is<br />
established via an M12 x 1 quick disconnect.<br />
Please refer to the technical data for the pin<br />
assignments. An advantage of this connection<br />
is that a separate base is not required.<br />
Address configuration may also be carried<br />
out using a standard cable with M12 x 1<br />
quick disconnects.<br />
<strong>Sensor</strong>s attach to M8 x 1 quick disconnects.<br />
The current switching state of each channel<br />
is indicated by an LED, located on the module's<br />
top side. The voltages of the <strong>AS</strong>-<strong>Interface</strong><br />
and of the external power supply are<br />
also indicated by an LED each.<br />
