Function
VAA-4E-G6-ZE
The VAA-4E-G6-ZE is an AS-Interface compact
module with 4 inputs. Mechanical contacts
and 2- and 3-wire sensors can be
connected to the inputs.
Its particularly flat and narrow design makes
the IP67 compact module especially suitable
for applications in handling machines, robots
etc. To achieve this protection class, it features
completely encapsulated electronics.
The module has the further advantage that it
can be mounted in any position.
The connection to the AS-Interface cable is
established via an M12 x 1 quick disconnect.
Please refer to the technical data for the pin
assignments. An advantage of this connection
is that a separate base is not required.
Address configuration may also be carried
out using a standard cable with M12 x 1
quick disconnects.
Sensors attach to M8 x 1 quick disconnects.
The current switching state of each channel
is indicated by an LED, located on the module's
top side. The voltages of the AS-Interface
and of the external power supply are
also indicated by an LED each.
