98 Windsurfing From ‘Start Windsurfing’ for complete beginners to intermediate and advanced sessions covering the harness, footstraps, waterstart and carve gybes, our Royal Yachting Association Training Centres offer the freedom to take advantage of expert tuition whenever you like. All aspects of tuition, courses and RYA qualifications are included in the cost of your Neilson holiday.

Tuition In our Exclusive Neilson Beachclubs windsurf sessions tend to be shorter than in our dedicated windsurf centre of Vassiliki where tuition follows a more structured, progressive approach over 6 consecutive days. However the focus remains the same - making the most of the conditions for your level of ability, allowing top tuition at the right time whilst still giving you the flexibility to get everything out of your holiday that you want. Beginners Beginners venture onto the water in lighter winds. Subsequent sessions will build on newly acquired skills with the opportunity to progress throughout the week and achieve the Start Windsurfing certificate. Intermediates Intermediates will concentrate on progressing technique and move onto more advanced boards. These sessions introduce and utilise the RYA National Windsurfing Scheme and will focus on the skills needed to progress onto beach starting, fast tacking, non-planing carve gybes, using the harness and getting going as well as moving towards planing and using the footstraps. Advanced When the winds are at their best there is also tuition for advanced sailors in line with the RYA Advanced Scheme. Here sailors will further develop the planing skills needed to be blasting comfortably, and focus on manoeuvres such as water starts and carve gybes. Video coaching may also be used to break moves down and gain the most from sessions during the week; this is also excellent for those who wish to push the limit a little further. Advanced windsurfers will find the conditions in Vassiliki, Ortakent, Phokaia and Teos more suited to their needs. Premium Windsurf Package Enjoy life in the fast lane and fine tune your racing skills with GPS timing and expert race coaching, if required, from just £69 per person per week. The kit we use is the Starboard Isonic Carbon (107 & 117), Tushingham X-15 Sail (6.4,7 7.6 & 8.3m) with carbon masts. Children Children in our free clubs can enjoy water-based fun, whilst youngsters who love to surf can opt for our Hot Shots club. When not in our clubs, children under the age of 13 are welcome to sail with their parents. Please note that children must be 13 years or over before they can join the adult windsurfing programme. The Kit Every centre has an excellent array of beginner equipment, with wide, stable boards and easy to handle rigs. Intermediates are also well catered for and experts are in heaven when they visit our specialist windsurf centres in Vassiliki, Ortakent, Teos and Phokaia. All have an excellent range of up-to-the minute boards and sails from renowned brands such as Starboard, RRD, Fanatic and Tushingham. The exact kit list in each centre will vary from time to time; new boards and rigs may be introduced and the names of equipment my change. Some items may be withdrawn from use to enable repairs, but rest assured there’s always enough to go around. For more detailed information on the equipment available in each resort please check the kit list online, www.neilson.co.uk 99
